About SVS College Bantwal :
The college was founded in 1968 by a few philanthropic citizens of Bantwal with the motto 'Vidya Sarvartha Sadhake'. Nestled among a cluster of hillocks in serene surroundings, the college is away from the din and bustle of city life. A band of committed teachers, supported by a devoted management offers affordable education to rural students who pursue learning with humility and keenness.

When the educational scenario in the whole country is undergoing an inevitable churning process, the college has a vision based on the realities of the emerging trends of the 21st century. While retaining the traditional courses, the college has introduced new disciplines from time to time. Healthy and friendly relationship that exists between the teacher and the taught is a speciality here. Exposure to moral values, Human Resource Development concepts, Remedial Teaching , special programme for lady students, Career Guidance, Academic Counselling and so on are some of the activities which make it DIFFERENT from other colleges.
The Sangha has formed a Governing Council to govern the affairs of the college.
